Plymouth Community Fitness Centers

Members must be at least in seventh grade to participate. All seventh- and eighth-graders must be accompanied by an adult with a membership. All new members must go through an orientation.

Membership can be purchased at the Community Ed. & Rec. Office. (One free visit is allowed.)

Plymouth High School Fitness Center
The supervised fitness center located in the lower level of Plymouth High School features circuit training, free weights, bicycles, stair steppers, treadmills and ellipticals. Showers and a limited number of lockers are available.

Hours effective Sept. 1, 2010
5:30-7:30 a.m. Monday-Friday
4-8 p.m. Monday-Thursday
4-7 p.m. Friday
7-11 a.m. Saturday

Riverview Middle School Fitness Center
This center’s equipment is more designed to meet the needs of women and seniors. The center has limited free weights but easy-to-use free-motion equipment and cardiovascular machines such as treadmills, elliptical and bikes.

College students: $50 for three years
Daily pass: $3 adults, $2 college students

Fitness assessments and programs are available free of charge with all year and half-year memberships; for $15 with quarter memberships. Appointments are needed.

Purchase a 3-month membership by Sept. 9, 2010 and get a 4th month free plus half off all fitness classes for the duration of your membership.

Plymouth High School Hall Walking

Plymouth High School opens its halls to members of the public looking for some indoor exercise from November to April. Seven laps equals a mile for one designated route, three laps for another.

The free hall-walking program runs from 3 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 3 to 6:30 p.m. Fridays.

Walkers should enter at the Community Education entrance and indicate on the roster when they are in the building.
